WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I COME?

What should I wear?

Clothes. That’s our only request. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. Some of our folks dress up, some show up in jeans. So don't worry about it. Just come as you are.

What's the music like?

We don’t own a pipe organ.  We're not that old school.  But then again, we aren't in a cutting edge city either.  Our music runs right down the middle.  Some classic oldies, some newer ones.  Our goal with our music is ultimately to be singing songs that enable us to say, "Thank You!" to our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Will I be asked to give money?

Every week we take up an offering.  However, if it's your first time with us, you are in no way obligated to give.  It's entirely your choice.  More than anything we just want to help you find a place to connect with God.  If you want to call Chapin Baptist your church home, then we believe giving financially to God and His church is the right thing to do as part of the family.

What is the overall environment like?

We are definitely a friendly bunch here at Chapin Baptist.  We strive to make you feel welcome and help you connect with God.  We understand that going to any place new can be uncomfortable, that's why we try very hard to help you feel at home while you're with us at CBC.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We haver our nursery staffed by loving volunteers who, just like you, want the best for your children. You can drop them off at the nursery, or if you like, keep them with you during the service.

Your non-nursery aged kids can have fun at The Grove. Just follow the signs to The Grove, a fun, age-appropriate learning environment designed just for kids from birth through fifth grade. A smiley, name-tagged volunteer at The Grove desk will walk you through the quick and easy check-in process. And don't worry - we'll let you know if your kids need you during the service.

From the nutty dancing to the creative videos to the interactive art projects, everything in The Grove is created just for kids. While experiences vary according to age, the volunteers and staff members in The Grove are committed to showing kids a great time with lots of love.
